Exchange of Ideas Key To Unity – NYSC DG To Corps members

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has charged the Batch A Stream 1 newly Sworn-in Corp members to ensure healthy interactions and exchange of ideas that would broaden their understanding of the Country.

General Shuaibu Ibrahim stated this during the Swearing-in Ceremony of Batch A stream corps members of Kano and Zamfara states held at the permanent orientation camp kusalla, Karaye local government area of Kano State. .

The Director-General who was represented by the State Coordinator of the scheme in kano Hajiya Aisha Tata Mohammad said the graduates were deliberately assembled from diverse ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds to promote the national unity.

He said the Federal Government was leaving no stone unturned in addressing the challenges of unemployment by providing Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program.

“The program was meant to prepare Corps members for self Employment and wealth creation through vocational and entrepreneurial training as well as linkage with financial institutions and other funding sources for business start-up financing”

He added that measures have been adopted in collaboration with the presidential steering committee on Covid 19 and the Nigeria Center for the Disease Control to ensure that could 19 Protocols were strictly adhered to.

In a remark, the NYSC Coordinator in Kano Hajiya Aisha Tata Mohammad represented by the Camp Director Aminu Suleiman Badaru said at the time of the closure of registration, over 1500 corps members were registered.

He said the orientation training was primarily designed to prepare and equip corps members physically and mentally for their unique roles during the service year.

“I want to place on record that kano Camp has adhered to the whole package of covid 19 safety protocols, every member of the Camp has tested negative to Corona Virus.

The ceremony was attended by heads of security agencies and other stakeholders.
