KNHA Urges State Gov’t to Assist Victims of Fire Outbreak

Kano state house of assembly has urged the state government, to as a matter of urgency assist victims of fire outbreak at Dawaki Gabas, in Dawakin Tofa local government area of the state.

The call was sequel to a motion of urgent public importance, presented by member representing Dawakin Tofa local government area,during plenary session presided over by the speaker, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.

Mover of the motion, Alhaji Saleh Ahmed Marke explained that, a fire outbreak had razed three houses leading to the death of one Malam Abdullahi at Dawaki Gabas.

He pointed out that,the inferno has rendered Malam Nasiru Ada and Abba Ado Direba homeless.Saying that there’s the need for the house standing committee on emergency relief to visit and access the level of damages.

Members representing Kabo and Rogo local government area,Alhaji Ayuba Labaran and Pharmacist Magaji Dahiru Zarewa, supported the motion and called on the kano state house of assembly to expedite action on the issue.

After careful deliberations, the house unanimously adopted the motion, and mandated it’s house standing committee on emergency relief to access the level of damages and submit report within one week,for further legislative action.

The house adjourned it’s sitting to the next day.
