Written by Godwin Duru

A curfew has been imposed in two local government councils of Niger state.

The two local government councils are Rafi and Shiroro.

In a statement in Minna by Shiroro local government council said the curfrew will last from ten oclcok in the evening to five in the morning

According to the statement the curfrew in Shiroro local government council will cover Gwada and Zumba communities to minimize incessant attacks by armed bandits.

Similarly security forces have enforced curfrew in Rafi local government council of Niger state to avoid bandits trooping into the area.

Sources told Radio Nigeria in a telephone interview in Minna that the bandits were sighted around Unguwar Maaji just about two kilometers to Rafi local
government council and thus the decision to impose the curfrew.

It could be recalled that Niger state House of Assembly had early this week directed the state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello to provide adequate security for lives and property of people in Paikoro and other local government councils affected by security challenges in parts of Niger state.
