The Chairman House Committee on Power and Member representing Birnin Kudu Buji constituency, Alhaji Magaji Da’u Aliyu and some All Progressive Congress APC state executives has narrowly escaped lynching by suspected aggrieved members of his constituency.
The incident happened when the aggrieved members blocked road to stop the member and other APC executives who were in the area for a political event organized by the later.
Radio Nigeria reports that, over 100 aggrieved members armed with cutlass,sticks and other dangerous weapons blocked the road and threatened to attack anyone who dire to pass through the roadblock they mounted in Kukuma town of Buji Local Government Area of the state.
The aggrieved members said, they took the action to expressed dissatisfaction with bad representation given to them at the national assembly by the Representative member, Magaji Da’u”u Aliyu.
The situation has led to a direct confrontation between the aggrieved members and political thugs in the entourage of the member which consequently led to the burning down of billboards and other structures that carried political symbol in the area.
When contacted on the incident, the legislative aide to the Member Barrister Murtala Isa said, the incident was not an attack on the member’s convoy, but a minor disagreement among the party members.
