A helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Police Force crashed in Bauchi, injuring 6 people, according to the Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB.

In a statement, the AIB said no one was killed.

The Bureau stated that it was informed of the accident by the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and that an inquiry was already underway.

It asked anyone who had witnessed the accident or recorded any information about it to come forward and assist the investigation.

The Bureau requested the public and the media to respect the privacy of those involved in the accident and to refrain from making any assumptions about the cause until a formal report is available.
