Governor Nasiru Elrufai of Kaduna State says the biggest challanges of fighting banditry are informants living within the communities.

He stated this during the parade and wreath laying for this year’s celebration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, AFRDC held in Kaduna.

Malam Nasiru Elrufai emphasized the need for community and religious leaders to raise their advocacy for people to report any suspecious activities to security agencies for necessary action.

He expressed gratitude to the armed forces and the police for their sacrifice in the war against banditry.

Elrufai maintained that, the level of insecurity the nation was facing especially in kaduna state was a great concern, stressing that security agencies were doing their best to overcome the situation.

The governor described the Armed Forces Remembrance Day as important, because it enable Nigerians to remember the giant contribution of the fallen heroes and other pass leaders that died in the defense of the nation.

According to Elrufai, Kaduna state government is working closely wit the Nigerian legionnaires to provide them with necessary support in the state.

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State Dr Hadiza Balarabe, Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Yusuf Zailani, Government officials and other head of various security agencies as well as widows of fallen heroes laid wreaths in honour of the fallen heroes.
