All Progressive Congress APC Governors Forum has paid a sympathy visit to Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara state over the recent attacks and killings of dozens in Anka and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas.

The Forum was led by its Chairman, the Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu and the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari.

Alhaji Atiku Bagudu spoke on behalf of the forum where he extended the solidarity of APC Governors to Governor Matawalle at this trying moment facing his state and many Northern states of the Federation.

Similarly, Governor Masari noted the efforts and commitment of Zamfara State Governor towards ending the menace of banditry in the region, adding that such efforts must be complemented with the people’s support to succeed.

He urged people to cooperate with Government policies and operational efforts of the security personnel to achieve the desired objectives, adding that no efforts by the government would succeed without the support and cooperation of the people.

Responding, Governor Bello Matawalle thanked the forum for its concern which also demonstrated the unity and strength of partnership among the APC Governors in the Country.

He also noted that, this was not the first time the Forum paid a similar visit to the state as it did same when there was a fire outbreak which gutted one of the markets in the state capital last year.

Matawalle assured the Forum that his Government was very grateful to this concern and would not rest on it’s oath until bandits in the state were neutralised.

According to him, Even the recent tragic incident which claimed fifty eight lives happened in the course of fleeing of one of the most notorious bandits and his gang from their enclave to another location following the air bombardments.
