Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has reaffirmed its determination in ensuring the security of lives and properties across the Nation.

The Commandant of the Corps in Kano Abu Abdu Tambuwal stated this while addressing Journalists In Kano.

He said the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps kano Command, had reviewed over 4,135 Civil and Criminal cases in the last twelve months in the State.

Abu Abdu Tambuwal explained that the command had in the last 12months addressed a total of 2,845 civil matters, by the Peace And Conflict Management Unit of the Command, stressing that to boost the morale of the personnel over 200 junior officers have been promoted to the next level.

“We have recorded successes a lot in the area of our operations particularly in Synergy with other security agencies as we jointly blocked kano state from fleeing bandits as a result of onslaught in our neighboring states like Zamfara, Katsina, Bauchi and Kaduna”

The Commandant noted that the personnel of NSCDC would synergize with that of Correctional service and Nigerian Customs in ensuring adequate security in all centers across the nation and curtailing the menace of smuggling contraband into the Country.

Abu Abdu Tambuwal Maintained that the Corps had also received a total of 672 cases of emergency incidences ranging from fire disasters, road/ auto accidents, and waterways emergencies in which personnel of the service actively participated in rescue operations to save lives and property.

He added that the Corps, as part of its core mandate, ensured total protection, safeguarding of national assets and infrastructure across Kano.
