Kano state hisbah board has called on the general public to desist from immoral acts, drug abuse and other societal vices during the new year celebrations.

Commander general of the Kano state hisbah board Sheikh Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina made the call while briefing newsmen at hisbah headquarters sharada Kano.

Sheikh Dr. Harun explained that most of the youths in the state engage in harmful acts capable of tarnishing their image during festive periods.

He noted that,recreational centers are sometimes found guilty of admitting under age children who are into drug abuse,thuggery among others.

The commander general maintained that a large number of hisbah personnel had been deployed to strategic areas in the state especially recreational centers to maintain law and order.

He urged the general public to abide by laid down protocols of covid -19 by wearing face masks,maintaining social distance,hand washing as well as recieving the vaccines to eradicate the spread of the deadly infection.

Sheikh Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina reaffirmed the agency’s readiness to work tirelessly in wiping out societal vices and inculcating moral values among the general public.
