NSCDC Recovers About N57m In Niger State

Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps through its Intelligence and Investigation Department as well as Peace and Conflicts Management Unit has recovered about fifty seven million naira and other valuable for complainants within the year under review.

State Commandant Malam Haruna Bala Zurmi said this while addressing Newsmen on the activities the Corps in Minna Niger state.

Malam Haruna Bala Zurmi explained that the monies recovered have been returned to their rightful owners.

According to him the Command in the year under review also recieved a total of one thousand five hundred and seventy eight complainants spread across twenty five local government councils of Niger state.

Malam Haruna Bala Zurmi said the complainants ranges from criminal breach of trust theft assault trespass burglary debt and land dispute among others.

He however emphasised that the Command also intercepted vehicles load of vandalised materials one load of truck with seven hundred and seventy five railway track sleepers as well as two load of trucks with vandalised NATCOM mast tower to mention but a few.

Malam Haruna Bala Zurmi while commending the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi for his support also appealed to general public to continue to be law abiding and always report any suspicious movement to the nearest security outfit.

A minute silence was observed in honour of seven officers and men of Niger state Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps that died in active service this year.
