President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the renewed killings by gunmen in Kaduna State.

In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu, on Sunday, President Buhari condemned the gruesome incidents in Kauran Fawa, Marke, and Ruhiya of Idasu Ward of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

President Buhari noted that he was indeed saddened by the gruesome act.

Gunmen invaded Kauran Fawa, Marke, and Riheya villages during the weekend and opened fire on the villagers, which resulted in the death of at least 38 persons.

Bandits also killed residents in Zangon Kataf, Chikun, Birnin Gwari, Igabi, and Kauru local government of the state.

The President also extended his condolences to the Government of Kaduna State and the people in the affected local governments.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
