Victims Support Fund (VSF) has provided ₦23 million to families of victims of the ill-fated Nigeria Air Force (NAF) plane that crashed in Kaduna, killing former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 others.

The gesture is to support the education of their children.

Presenting the cheques to the next of kin of the fallen military officers in Abuja, the Executive Director of the Victims Support Fund, Prof Nana Tanko said the initiative was to provide succor to the families.

She said the relationship between the organisation and the military had been robust, especially in the northeast to ameliorate the plight of officers, soldiers and civilians due to insurgency.

Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, represented by the Chief of Defense Administration, Rear Admiral Abdul Adamu, expressed gratitude for the financial intervention.

He appealed to the VSF to make periodic support to the families, to enable them to meet up with the educational needs of their children.

Representatives of the families of the fallen officers also appreciated the VSF for the intervention.
