Adamawa: Pensioners To Get All Outstanding Entitlements- Board Chairman

Pensioners in Adamawa state are to receive all their outstanding gratuities and pension as soon as the funds is available.

Chairman of the state pension board Mr Thomas Madi made this known during an exclusive interview with Radio Nigeria in his office, in commemoration of World pensioners day in Yola.

Mr Thomas Madi commended the efforts the state government in releasing a reasonable sum of money towards the settlement of gratuities and the enrollment of about nine hundred and ninety five (995) pensioners into payroll.


The Chairman who explained that pensioners have never seen it so good like the present time in the state, promised to ensure continuous payment of their outstanding gratuities.


He further expressed concern on the unfortunate conditions of some pensioners receiving the sum of four thousand naira (N4,000) as their pension.


Mr Thomas Madi, also promised to intimate the Governor on the need for harmonisation and review of pension in the state, to alleviate the suffering of the pensioners, and improve their living conditions.


The chairman urged the pensioners in the state to exercise more patience, as efforts progress in alleviating their plights.
