Niger state House of Assembly has faulted the proposed twenty twenty two budget of the state Pension Commission.

Chairmaan House of Assembly Committee on Labour and Productivity Alh Abdulmalik Madaki Bosso said this at the screening exercise of Niger state Pension Commission in Minna.

Alh Abdulmalik Madaki Bosso described the proposed budget of over nine hundred naira as grossly inadequate and totally un acceptable despite the shortfall in IGR and Federation Account.

The law maker who went nemory lane recalled that in the twenty twenty one budget they approved about nine billion naira which spread across statutory gratuity monthly pension as well as overhead cost.

He however wondered why an envelop of over nine hundred million naira is allocated to the Pension Commission which he said can only accommodate one month pension and not even two months.

According to him Niger state Pension Commission pays five hundred and fifty one million naira monthly to pensioners and that what remain out of it cannot take care of the second month payment.

Alh Abdulmalik Bosso maintained that members of Labour and Productivity Committee of the House have resolve to invite the Niger state Commissioner of Planning and his Permanent Secretary to clarrify some issues.

He said they will not passed the budget until contentious issues were resolved to avoid puting thẹ lives of Niger state pensioners in jeopardy.
