Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao has charged junior officers of the armed forces to live up to expectations and enhance the high reputation of their training.
He gave the charge at the graduation ceremony of the Armed forces Command and Staff College junior course ninety-two held at Jaji, Kaduna State.
Represented by Air Vice Marshal Remigius Nnamdi Ekeh, the Air Chief also charged the officers to uphold the highest standards of discipline such as character, integrity, excellence, team work as well as respect for the rule of law and human rights in their service to the nation.
Air Marshal Oladayo Amao stressed the need for the graduands to conduct themselves in a manner befitting of officers and gentlemen in the discharge of their duties.
Earlier, Commandant of the Airforce Command and Staff College, Air Vice Marshal Ebenezer Olayinka Alade explained that the responsibility of the college was to prepare officers to confront and embrace security challenges in the years ahead.
The Commandant urged the participants to integrate practical experience with the staff, operations and leadership skills they have acquired to the field.
A total of two hundred and fifty-one officers comprising the Army, Navy, Airforce, paramilitary and foreign officers passed out after undergoing a twenty-two week intensive training.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to deserving graduands.
