Normalcy have been restored to Ngomari Airport and One thousand housing estate in Maiduguri Metropolis after early morning explosions that rocked the areas.

The explosions occurred around six in the morning when residents were still indoors preparing for the monthly sanitation exercise.

The explosives suspected to be projectiles,  landed on House number 2589 at 1,000 housing unit and another building at Ngomari Airport, severely damaging both houses.

One of the residents of 1,000 Ali Ibrahim told Radio Nigeria that he heard deafening sounds of explosions.

“When I heard the sound of the first explosion, I rushed out of my house to know when what is happening, then the second one exploded close to my compound, on my way rushing inside I saw the third rocked with my eyes, I had to lay down, its from there I concluded that it was an attack, Ibrahim added”.

Radio Nigeria also gathered that no life was lost as a result of the explosion, however a young girl sustained minor injury and had already been treated.

Radio Nigeria could not independently verify where the rockets emanated from and the possible target.

However, in February this year, dozens of people lost their lives in multiple rocket attacks in Maiduguri.
