A Nongovernmental Organization, Marie Stopes,
has called for collective efforts with the media for birth spacing campaign in Northern Nigeria.

The regional communication manager Northern operation, Mr Ibrahim Yusuf made the call at a stakeholders meeting held in Birnin kebbi, kebbi state.

He said, the meeting aimed at bringing stakeholders together to discuss and to let them know services the organization was rendering to the communities and to also hear from them the challenges and way forward.

Mr. Yusuf however, stressed the need for collective responsibility and efforts to make sure, women at the rural areas in the state access the organization services.

The Communication Manager, solicited for the support of religious and traditional leaders, to enable the NGO carry services to door steps of women.

He pointed out that, marie Stopes contribution was to complement government effort in reducing maternal mortality and mobility rates in communities of Kebbi state.
