The Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital has fixed December, 2nd for the judgement over a legal tussle between the former governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar and the incumbent governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle.

In an interview after the court sitting, the solicitor to the defendant, Barrister Lasco Hondemiwa said though he was satisfied with the proceedings, he would not comment until after the judgement.

On his part, the solicitor to the plaintiff, Barrister Daniel Enwelum, said they were challenging the action of the acting National Chairman of the APC Governor Mala Buni who at a rally, dissolved the existing state executives and handed over the party to the governor as the party leader.

Barrister Enwelum explained that in the first place, there was no position of leader of the party and the provision of the constitution of the APC, articles 13, to 17, particularly article 14, “does not give him the mandate to do so.
