The University of Ilorin has expelled a student , Salaudeen Waliu Anuoluwa who assaulted a female lecturer of the Department of Microbiology after being found guilty .

In a statement by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, the verdict was handed down by the Student Disciplinary Committee, where Salaudeen was arraigned.

The statement said that Mr Salaudeen who was a 400 level student of the Department of Microbiology before his expulsion has 48 days to appeal against the verdict if he feels dissatisfied with the decision.

It noted that , Salaudeen had been handed over to the police for necessary action.

Salaudeen was reported to have allegedly beaten a female lecturer, Mrs Rahmat Zakariaya to comma, before he was apprehended by the university security.
