Many persons have been confirmed dead in an accident involving a trailer carrying diesel and a trailer truck at Enagi in Edati local government council of Niger state.
An eye witness account told Radio Nigeria in Minna said that the accident occurred as the two vehicles involved in the accident were gutted by fire leading to loss of lives and property.
Three corpses could be identified at the accident scene while several others were burnt beyond recognition.
Six motorcycles and three other vehicles were also burnt in the inferno.
One resident who spoke through a telephone said about three shops were burnt while fire service from Kutigi and some officials of Road Safety were on ground to rescue the situation.
