Katsina State Police command has arrested a 14-year-old boy alleged to have participated in kidnapping and cattle rustling in the state.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer SP Gambo Isah stated this while parading the teenager alongside 19 other suspects for various crimes.

SP Gambo Isah said the teenager confessed to having shot and killed two persons in one of the attacks he participated at Mallamawa village, Jibia Local Government Area.

He said the suspect also confessed to having acquired technical skills of operating AK 47 rifles from bandits residing in the forest.

The PPRO explained that the teenager had participated in several attacks on villages within and outside the state in which an unspecified number of animals were rustled.

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the teenager who confessed to the crime said in all the attacks and the number of animals rustled, a total sum of N50,000 was given to him as his share from proceeds of the sale of the animals.
