Jigawa state government says it will continue support to the national boundary commission in the efforts to ensure effective security at the border line.

The State Deputy Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi stated this at a meeting organized by the state government in collaboration with national boundary commission and border communities held at Sir Ahmadu Bello hall new secretariat Dutse.

Mallam Umar Namadi who was represented by the state commissioner of Land and survey, Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmad said the state government is doing its best towards the provision of social amenities to the people along the border with Niger Republic. 

Also speaking, the coordinator of the national boundary commission Farouk Tarfa said the commission is gathering useful information that could be used to ensure adequate security on the border.

He urged the boundary communities to cooperate with the commission by providing vital information to the commission to achieve the desired objectives.

The meeting was attended by local government chairmen of Babura, Maigatari Birniwa, Sule-tankarkar, Kaugama, Maigatari, traditional leaders of border communities and representatives of security agencies.
