A Non Governmental Organization NGO, War Against Rape and Sexual Abuse has stressed the need for parents to be intentional in raising thier children with godly virtues towards being responsible citizens.
The President of the Organization, Mrs Wunmi Hassan Bello stated this during an Annual women conference at Kingsglory International ministry in Kaduna.
Mrs Wunmi Hassan explained the necessity of parents to be close friends with their children to help them open up easily when faced with any kind of challenges in life.
She lamented the gap created between some parents and their children, adding that they should also be conscious on the kind of media contents children consume at home which may make or mar them.
The president further advised parents to encourage their children to understand self privacy and report any act of abuse on them to checkmate increasing rates of child molestation and related vices .
In a message at the conference; titled ‘Why am I thus, Apostle Kolawole Obaseye who re-emphasized the importance of women in the home, also described them as bridge builder mandated to assist children achieve destiny.
He encouraged women to be productive by engaging in businesses, saying that a wise woman brings growth and progress in her home while a foolish one bring destruction.
