Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Faruk Yahaya has pledged continuos infrastructural, capital and intellectual support to the Nigerian Defence Academy for effective service delivery.

He made the pledge at the end of Exercise Camp Highland and battle Inoculation in honour of final year Army cadets held in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Lt General Faruk Yahaya explained that in his commitment towards enhancing the capacity of cadets, he had approved the issuance of six gun trucks to the NDA for training and posting of personnel to demonstration field consistent with the manpower holding of a typical infantry battalion.

The Army Chief charged the cadets to ensure that their efforts contribute to the overall success of the Nigerian Army and the nation in general.

Earlier in his address, Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf explained that the objective of the exercise was to evaluate cadets on the application of tactics, techniques and procedures in operations and administration logistics in order to determine their eligibility for commissioning into the Nigerian Army.

He maintained that the battle inoculation, which is the climax of exercise camp highland was designed to expose the cadets to a semblance of real life scenarios.

Highlight of the exercise included map reading, adventure as well as leadership training.
