Ebonyi State Government has urged residents to disregard any sit-at-home order by any group and go about their lawful businesses today Monday, August 9, 2021.

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Francis Nwaze, Governor David Umahi directed security agencies to maintain law and order to ensure safety within public spaces.

He noted that Monday, August 9 is a working day and consequently markets, banks and schools would operate normally.

The Governor called on youths to desist from harassing law-abiding citizens or any act capable of undermining the security of the state as such move would be resisted.

He emphasized that his administration was doing its best to develop all sectors of the state and would not support any move to shut down the state for any reason.
