The Senator representing Zamfara West senatorial district, Senator Lawal Hassan Dan’iya, has formally dumped his party PDP and joined All Progressives Congress APC.

Senator Lawal Dan’iya formally announced this when he recieved his APC membership card at his poling Unit of Danbako 001in Anka local government area of Zamfara state.

He called on all members of the APC to come out and collect their membership
cards and urged those that have registered to renew their members card to complement the constitutional directives of the national body of the Party.

The Senator also stressed the need for unity among all members of the party in the state and assured to give the committee all the necessary support with a view to achieve the desired objectives.

According to him, the exercise will be conducted in all the poling units in fourteen local government areas of the state adding that this will enable the party members to participate in the national delegate conference of the party.

In a related development, the Chairman Zamfara State Council of Chiefs and the Emir of Anka, Alhaji Muhammad Attahiru Ahamad has called for unity among all the Political parties and politicians for the development of democracy, state and the country in general.

He also advocate for reconciliation as a tool for unity adding that, the emirs were ready to became mediators for unity, progress, peace and stability of the electorate, state and the country at large.

Those who registered alongside Senator Lawal Hassan Dan’iya were the former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Muktar Mohammed Anka and former comissioner of information Malam Sulaiman Tinau Anka among others.
