Eighteen members of the National Youth Service Corp NYSC posted to Niger state have tested positive to Coronavirus.

Commissioner of Information and Strategy Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Idris confirmed this while addressing Newsmen on the cancellation of their weekly state Executive Council meeting over the death of retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Senator Nuhu Aliyu.

Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Idris said Niger state government has directed the immediate resuscitation of all covid19 protocols in the state to mitigate its impact.

According to him, any Civil Servant who fail to wear his or her face masks will not be allowed entrance to government offices.

Meanwhile Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state will lead members of the Executive Council for the burial of late Senator Nuhu Aliyu today in Kaduna state.

The deceased died this morning.
