11 persons have lost their lives in Kano due to fire disasters in the month of July 2021.

The public relations officer of the Kano state fire service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi made this known to newsmen.

According to him, 107 lives were saved while properties worth over ten million naira were destroyed during the month under review.

He Noted that a total number of 32 fire calls, 64 rescue calls and 21 false alarms were recorded across the 27 fire stations in the state.

Saminu Yusif Abdullahi urged the general public to ensure safety by handling fire and electric appliances with care, abide by traffic rules to avoid road accidents as well as cautioning children and teenagers aginst local swimming in ponds and other dangerous areas.
