The All Progressives Congress APC on Saturday held it’s ward congress in all the 27 local government areas in Jigawa State, peacefully.
Radio Nigeria reports that visits to some wards in Dutse, the delegation from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja gave the exercise a pass mark.
It says areas visited in Dutse local government includes Kachi Ward, Madobi Ward and Limawa Ward.
The Chairman of the APC Ward Congress, Chief Chima Onyekwere described the exercise as a beautiful beginning for the party.
Speaking with newsmen, Chief Onyekwere who monitored the exercise in Dutse, Kiyawa and Jahun LGAs said the exercise was impressive and peaceful because, members adopted a consensus arrangement devoid of rancour.
“I’m impressed with the turnout of party members in Jigawa State, an indication that APC is a party to beat and that APC is a party on the ground.”
He insisted that the exercise was valid despite the judicial pronouncement on it’s leadership, adding that the party team of lawyers studied the Supreme Court pronouncement and offered perfect legal interpretation of the judgment.
