The Provost, College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Bakura local government area of Zamfara State, Malam Mainasa Habib has regained his freedom.

A Younger brother of the Provost, Malam Nasiru Mainasara confirmed his release to Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Gusau, Sani Dutsinma in a telephone interview.

According to him, the Provost regained freedom around Wednesday around 10:30 pm and he did not disclosed whether ransom was paid before he was released by his abductors.

Malam Nasiru also thanked everyone for their concerns especially the media which helped to publicise the incident.

The Provost who was abducted in the early hours of last Sunday by gunmen spent three days in captivity.
