Women have been charged to inculcate the habit of exercising and extra curricular activities to maintain a more healthy and energetic society.

The Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad Umar gave the adivse during a one day seminar organized for female staff of the ministry on the importance of keeping fit held in Kano.

Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad Umar explained that regular exercise will go a long way in reducing certain illnesses associated with idleness, redundancy and lack of proper diet.

The Commissioner commended the organizers and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment in ensuring that women were not left behind.

Some of the participants who spoke to radio Nigeria Hajiya Mariya Hodi and Hajiya Bahijja Kabara promised to make judicious use of the knowledge gained.

The one day seminar themed: Work Life Balance, Health Happiness and Wellness’ attracted all female staff of the Kano state ministry for women affairs and social development.
