Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Nasarawa State, Comrade Yusuf Iya has announced the suspension of the union’s over 2 weeks indefinite strike.

The Union Leader made the announcement at the Government House Lafia after signing an agreement reached between the organised labour and the state government, directing all workers to immediately resume work.

Governor Abdullahi Sule who witnessed the signing of the agreement commended the organised labour for the amicable resolution of the impasses for the common good of the state.

The organised labour in Nasarawa State had in June 2021 declared an indefinite strike over non-promotion of workers, non-implementation of the National Minimum wage and non-payment of annual salary increment among other demands.
