Vigilante group of Zuru Emirate in Kebbi state, says, the bandits that abducted the students and staff of Federal Government College Birnin Yauri, have sufferd a heavy casuality as over eighty of them have been killed by security and the Vigilantees.

Head of the Vigilante, Mr John Mani, who made this known while speaking with newsmen through phone in Birnin Kebbi, said the bandits were killed in gun duel during which the security operatives were making a frantic effort to secure the abductees from their captors.

The bandits were killed in the forest of Sakaba local government area of the state in a gun duel that took place between Thursday and Friday”.

According to him, the bandits were killed in an effort to secure the release of the abducted students and staff.

The bandits numbering over one hundred and fifty on motorcycles, were reported to have broke into the school on Thursday and made away with yet to be ascertained number of students.
