The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP, has suspended its over two months nationwide industrial action.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of of the Union, Comrade Abdullahi Yelwa and released to newsmen in Abuja says the suspension which is for the period of three months was to allow the government implement the MOU signed with the union on the issues that led to the strike.

ASUP had embarked on a nationwide industrial action on the sixth of April this year over what it described as the poor state of Polytechnic education in the country.
