Kaduna State Commissioner of Police Umar Musa Muri has presented cheques worth Six point Five Million naira to fourteen families of Police Officers who died in the line of duty.

This was contained in a statement by the Command’s Spokesperson ASP Mohammed Jalige in Kaduna.

It explained that the gesture was an initiative of the Inspector General of Police-IGP FAMILY WELFARE INSURANCE aimed at supporting families of deceased Police Officers who died in active service to their fatherland.

The statement maintained that the initiative was not only to support the immediate families of the fallen heroes, but also to boost the morale of other gallant officers in active service in parts of the country to do more in reclaiming public spaces as their welfare remained paramount to the current administration of the force.

While presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries, the CP advised them to judiciously use the token to ameliorate the financial needs of the deceased’s dependents.

The statement added that the families expressed appreciation for the gesture accorded to them by the IGP and prayed for a successful tenure of office for him.
