The network of Reproductive Health Journalist of Nigeria Kano Chapter with support from AdAmu ABUBAKAR Gwarzo Foundation -AAG- Foundation has conducted a one day sensitization program at a Girl’s Government school within Kano metropolis.

Speaking during the sensitization program the coordinator of the Network in Kano Abdullahi jalaluddeen, said the programme was organized in Commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene day celebrations , and to sensitize secondary school female students on how to maintain menstrual hygiene, geared towards enhancing their Health Status.

He said the network was a collation of working journalists from different media outfits with like minds uplifting the health Status of the general populace.

Malam Abdullahi jalaluddeen urged the students to make maximum utilization of the knowledge acquired

In her remark while presenting a lecture on Menstrual Hygein a Health expert working with Government Hospital in Kano Matron Rabi Hassan, urged the students to always maintain enviromental and body hygiene aimed at curtailing infectious diseases.

“You have to be extra careful during menstrual periods,be changing your sanitary pads twice or thrice daily , depending on the your flow”

She Adviced students to always seek medical advice whenever they experience abnormal menstrual bleeding.

Earlier the principal of the Government school, Suwaiba Isah Applauded the organisers for sensitizing the students .

She appealed to other groups and individuals to Emulate the Good gesture of the Network.
