Armed bandits have shot dead the son of Emir of Kontagora in Niger state Alh Bashar Saidu Namaska and abducted many others.

They also rustled unspecified number of cows at the farm of Emir of Kontagora Alh Saidu Namaska where the deceased was killed.

The late son was gunned down at Masuga village close to Kontagora at his father’s farm on Zuru road while others working with him were also killed.

They also flagged down both commercial and private vehicles plying the road and collected phone, money and other valuables.

Until his death late Bashar Saidu Namaska was the Sardauna of Kontagora who had been holding forth for his father.

An impeccable source and top government official who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident to Radio Nigeria in a telephone interview.
