The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru has assured frontline troops of needed provisions to enable them succeed in the war against insurgency, banditry and other criminal activities. 

General Attahiru gave the assurance while hosting wounded and recuperating troops of Operation Hadin Kai to a sallah luncheon at Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri. 

The Army Chief also informed the troops that the counter insurgency operation will be reinvigorated and their welfare be accorded highest priority.

“You will be rest assured that the Theatre Commander outlined that you will continue to get the needed support to execute your mandate to the letter. We have made provision for virtually all you required to make you succeed towards the quick return of peace to the entire northeast, northwest and all the operations for which the Nigerian Army is partaking “.

Lieutenant General Attahiru extended President Muhammadu Buhari’s appreciation to troops of Operation Hadin Kai for the selfless sacrifice and great job they have been doing in the Theater.

Theater Commander, Operation Hadin Kai Major General Farouq Yahaya appreciated the Chief of Army Staff for the regular visit describing it as a morale booster. 

He acknowledged that the Theatre has started receiving additional platforms and equipment that will enable the troops prosecute the war on terror with vigour. 

Speaking on behalf of the troops, Acting RSM headquarters Theatre Command Warrant Officer Sani Ogboji thanked the Chief of Army Staff for hosting the soldiers and promised to execute the mandate given to them.
