Federal Government and the World Bank will meet to discuss modalities used by the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS in gathering data for employment statistics.

According to a statement, the World Bank says the NBS methodology does not conform with global standards, especially the International Labour Organisation’s, ILO format of arriving at such employment index.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige says there has been a little confusion as to the accuracy of data generated by NBS and the meeting provides an opportunity to aligned the data appropriately, the statement added.
