Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano command has arrested an individual for producing adulterated lubricating oil(engine oil) in Rangaza, Ungoggo LGA.

This was contained in a media statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Corps ASC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, in Kano.

The Statement explained that 25 drums containing 200 litres of adulterated engine oil were found and confiscated in the factory being operated in an uncompleted building with the drums labeled with stickers of popular brands.

It stated that the operation was successfully carried out by operatives of Anti Vandalism Unit of the Corps following a tip off by a staff of Standard Organization of Nigeria.

The warehouse where the illegal business is being run has been sealed up while thee suspect are currently in custody of the NSCDC for further investigation.

The NSCDC reiterated its commitment in curtailing illicit businesses as well as all forms of criminal acts in the state.
