Governor Nasiru Ahmad Elrufa’i has appointed Alh Zakari Ya’u Shehu Usman as the 30th emir of kauru following the death of the late emir Alh Ja’afaru Abubakar.

Commisioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alh Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, represented by a director in the ministry mr Douglas Haruna handed over the appointment letter to the new Emir in kauru LGA.

Alh Jafaru Ibrahim Sani said the appointment accorded the new Emir the rights and privileges pertaining to the office, including membership of the kaduna state council of chiefs.

According to him, the appointment has assigned enormours responsibilies to ensure justice and equity to the people of the emirate, the state and nigeria at large.

The Commissioner Prayed Allah’s guidance and blessings in the discharge of his task as Emir while looking forwards to the formal installation and presentation of staff of office.

In an acceptance speech, the new Emir Alh Zakari Ya’u Usman expressed gratitute to kaduna state government and people of kauru Emirate for finding him worthy of the status while acknowledging himself as Sarkin Kauru Zakari Ya’u, the second (II).

Radio Nigeria reports that the occasion had in attendance dignitries, traditional and cultural display.
