Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has charged the newly elected Chairmen in the state to be just and fair in discharging their duties to justify the trust reposed on them.
The Governor gave the charge at the swearing in ceremony of the chairmen in Sokoto.
Aminu Waziri Tambuwal who assured the chairmen of government’s support, also cautioned them to give priority to security and welfare of their citizens irrespective of religious , ethics and political differences.
He directed them to be holding security meetings regularly in their respective councils and report back to the state government for necessary action.
Radio Nigeria reports that the State Independent Electoral Commission has declared all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as winners of the chairmanship and councillorship seats in the recent local government election in the state.
