A Non Governmental Organization, Green Pasture and Home initiative GPHI, says advocating the rights of vulnerable children and the less privilege are major pillars for curtailing the menace of social vises in the country.

Executive Director of the NGO, Chaplain Comfort Williams stated this while briefing newsmen during the twentieth anniversary celebration of the orphanage home held at Sabon Gari, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano state.

She said the Orphanage home was a member of Association of Orphan and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria (AONN), Association of Orphanages and Homes Operators in Nigeria (ASOHON) and other relevant agencies that fight for the rights of children.

The executive director noted that the home which has two branches in Kano and Ondo states had over the years rendered services to over one hundred thousand beneficiaries which comprised caregivers and their children.

Chaplain Comfort Williams maintained that the Orphanage had ensured the provision of a safe accommodation for over one hundred and fifty children with the supervision of well-trained.

She advocated for enrollment of children in Orphanages into the National Health Insurance scheme and appealed to government at all levels to provide genuine orphanages with monthly subventions for maximum impact across the country.
