Jigawa state government has planned to build 500 housing units in each of the 5 emirate headquarters of the state.

The commissioner for lands, housing, urban development and Regional Planning Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed said when he paid an advocacy visit to the Emir of Gumel Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Sani at his palace.

Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed also briefed the Emir on the government’s planned efforts on the housing registration exercise scheduled to commence soon.

Speaking, the acting permanent secretary of the ministry, Mallam Abdullahi Hassan explained that the registration of houses would assist towards proper planning for development.

In a remark, Emir of Gumel Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Sani commended the present administration’s open door policy to make life better for its people.
