Igbo community in Niger state have unanimously agreed to sustain their annual prayer session for peace and development as the viable tool for resolving the current economic and security challenges confronting Nigeria.

They stated this in their seperate remarks to mark the annual prayer and Thanksgiving organised by Igbo Community Association held in Minna the state capital.

President General Igbo Community Association in Niger state Mr Valentine Oparaocha appealed to Nigerians not to despair but to have faith in God and Nigeria stressing that Nigeria would certainly overcome it’s current economic and security woes.

Mr Valentine Oparaocha also appealed to Igbos in Niger state Nigeria and diaspora to be united as well as continue to contribute their quota positively to the growth and development of Nigeria.

Also speaking Chairman Oha Na Eze Ndi Igbo of nineteen Northern states and Abuja who doubled as Eze Igbo Minna Dr Pampas Min Nwahiwe advised governments at all level to address problems of kidnapping, rape, banditry and other negative vices bedeviling Nigeria.

Catholic Bishop of Minna Diocese Most Reverend Martins Igwemezie Uzoukwu represented by Reverend Emeka Amamchukwu asked Igbos and indeed Nigerians to lead their lives according to the commandments of God and shun ethnic and Religious differences to forge ahead.
