Over 10 Million Out Of School Children In Nigeria are to benefit From a World Bank Project,- Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA)

Minister of state for Education Mr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba stated this while flagging off the programme in Minna Niger state.

Mr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba said already 16 out of 36 states in Nigeria were benefitting from the programme aimed at taking away children off the street.

He charged benefitting states to ensure judicious utilisation of funds and commended President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring no Nigerian child was deprived quality education.

Niger State Governor

Speaking, the Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello said his administration considered education as strategic in repositioning the state and assured that it would continue to be accorded priority.

In her remark, Commissioner of Education Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu maintained that the state had changed the future of Almajiri children through friendly policies targeted at taken them off the street.

Hajiya Hannatu Salihu further assured of Niger state government’s determination to implement the programme in a transparent manner.
