The sultanate council in Sokoto state has declared tomorrow, friday the 15th of January 2021 as the first day of Jumada Thaani thaani 1442 A.H.
A statement by the chairman advisory committee on religious affairs at the council, Professor Sambo Wali Junaid stated this following reciept of report of non sighting of the Jumada Thaani crescent on Wednesday night by the various moon sighting committees across the country.
It further says that his eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto has therefore approved the report presented to him by the National Moon Sighting Committee, and accordingly declared tomorrow, friday as the first of day of Rabi’u Thaani 1442 AH..
