The National Identity Management Commission NIMC has enrolled about Three million residents in Kaduna.


Kaduna state coordinator malam Abubakar Hassan Muhammad made this known in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Kaduna.

He debunked allegation that data base of the commission had collapsed, while assuring effort toword achieving higher enrollment.


Abubakar Hassan Muhammad stressed that the commission had extended operations up to Sarturday and Sunday to meet target.


He however, confirmed that about three million residents of kaduna state have so far been enrolled into the data base.


Speaking on possibilities of having additional enrollment centers in the state, Abubakar Hassan assured that the recent approval of digital ecosystem by the Federal government to issue licence for private organizations to conduct the exercise, would facilitate enrollment of more Nigerians.


Reacting on the need to ensure compliance to NCDC safety protocols, the coordinator said measures have been put in place to avoid crowd during enrollment exercise.


Malam Abubakar Hassan Muhammad appealed to residents of the state to support National Identity Management Commission in achieving the task ahead.
