Jigawa state Commandant, Alhaji Garba Muhammad

COV. USMAN MZ FROM JIGAWA STATE

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has concluded arrangements to deploy 870 personnel as part of measures to provide security during Yuletide in Jigawa State.

The State Commandant, Alhaji Garba Muhammad, through the Deputy Commandant Operations, DCC Muntaka Hussaini disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.

He explained that the Commandant ordered the immediate deployment of officers and men from various departments and units including Armed Squad, Counter Terrorism, CBRNE, Intelligence, Operations, Disaster Management and Medical Units across the 27 local government areas in the State.

According to him, emphasis has been made on strategic areas such as worship places, recreational centres, , government installations, motor parks, markets and malls, and other identified flash points.

Alhaji Garba Muhammad therefore, advised parents to look after their wards and always know their whereabouts.

He also urged people to be law abiding and cooperate with the personnel, other security agencies during and after the celebrations and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security formation.

The Command wishes people of the state and the country in general hitch free celebrations and a happy and prosperous new year in advance.
