The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has charged the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu to respect previous agreement between the Union and Federal Government on Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

the Kano Zonal Coordinator of ASUU professor Mahmud Lawal gave the charge while briefing journalists in Kano over the lingering crisis in the Nigerian Universities System.

“The Kano zone of ASUU is compelled to unfortunately call a spade a spade on the current prolonged impasse between us and the Federal Government.

He explained that it is very important for the patriotic people of Nigeria to know that the union has noticed that the office of the minister of Labour and Employment was not respecting the earlier agreement reached between the two parties.

He commended the ASUU members and their families Nationwide for their sustained commitment to the Union on what he called their struggle to salvage the university system.

According to him, their they deserve commendation for their efforts despite the sustained attacks through withholding their salaries.
